Dekker is the solo project of American songwriter Brookln Dekker, based in Nottingham ,UK. After years of touring internationally with the indie folk duo Rue Royale, and later collaborating on the Lambert & Dekker project, he slowly built a quieter, more personal path under his own name.
Since 2019, Dekker has released four albums, an EP and a growing catalogue of songs that have gathered over 250 million streams while finding homes in bedrooms, headphones, long walks and late night drives around the world. But the live show remains at the centre of it all.
Over the last eighteen years Brookln has played more than 2000 concerts across Europe and beyond, developing a solo performance style that feels intimate, funny, melancholic and deeply human all at once. Alone on stage, armed with guitars and stories and a disarming honesty, Dekker’s concerts often feel less like performances and more like rooms people briefly inhabit together.
His songs sit somewhere between indie folk, slow burning pop and reflective songwriting, drawing influence from artists such as José González, Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, while maintaining a voice and atmosphere distinctly his own.
Recent years have seen sold out tours across Europe, strong support from European radio and editorial playlists, and a growing audience drawn not only to the music itself but to the emotional openness and humanity within it.
At its core, the Dekker project is less interested in spectacle than connection. Songs as companionship. Music as a way of understanding yourself a little more clearly while moving through the world.
